Pedal board cases?

Sign in to disble this ad
I have a homemade pedal board, and it needs a case. I'm looking for something affordable (read: cheap) and tough. I've seen cases online @ stompin-ground.com, but they are expensive. $200+ for a case only? Yikes.

I'm looking for either a cheaper online seller, or a great unconventional method. I'll politely pass on suitcase suggestions though

The board is 27" x 13" with a 2 3/4" riser.

Jordasch, are you familiar with or own any of these cases?

Go to Goodwill. Buy suitcase.
Costs a few bucks maximum.

I would Steve, but...

There's the No Suitcase for Pedalboards Act in my town, which prohibits the use of suitcases. In all seriousness, I knew people were going to recommend that, and its just not an option I care to explore

Besides, what if someone decides to spill a pitcher of beer on my board?

Fair enough that you don't want to explore it.

If someone decides to spill a pitcher of beer on your board, then your board will be toast whatever case you might have had it in, because you're at a pub with your pedalboard, so you're probably gigging and your board is therefore out on the stage. Unless you take your board with you when you just go to the pub for a beer, in which case you spend too much time with your pedalboard and have attachment issues and should see someone about that

If you don't need ATA standard cases, Home Depot is just fine and provides the sturdiest solutions at the cheapest price. Many sizes at a cheap price.
Unless of course some local law prevents this.

Mine is a piece of wood with some thin gray carpet on it and a big handle on each side.

I need a better one!

Go to a pawn shop and buy an old suitcase, line it with those foam eggshells you put on beds, and VIOALA!
