Pedal Board chain help! urgent!

I have a bunch of pedals, and i just added two that i dont know where they should go.
heres what i have, and how i want to use them

Tuner
Volume
Ibanez Weeping Demon
Boss ODB-3 (i just use it as a boost)
Boss Bass EQ (its on an "incline" so theres no bass)
Bass Big Muff
BBE opto Stomp compressor
SansAmp VT bass
Behringer Echo Machine (echo park copy)
Boss OC-3 Super Octave

i was thinking
tuner > wah > ODB-3 > Boss EQ > Big Muff > Delay > Comp > Octave > VT > Volume


what would you do?
or explain what i should do.

Try experimenting and finding what you like

Though I would suggest the octave more towards the front of your chain. Probably the same for your comp, too; unless you're using it as an effect more than tone control.

Go for it, though I would try putting your boost before the Muff too.

First off, do a search and look at the "post your pedalboards" threads for ideas. This topic is beat to death.

Here's what I would do:
Volume>Tuner>EQ>Wah>Opto>OC3>ODB3>Big Muff>VT>Echo

If you notice signal loss, move the EQ to the end of the chain.

You generally always want the tuner first for clearest possible signal. EQ and compression and be switched, but compression should come before gain pedal so you can have the most dynamics possible with the gain. The octave pedal also needs the cleanest signal it can for tracking, it also likes a smooth consistent signal from the compressor for tracking. Wah can go before or after gain, after seems most pronounced, but try both for YOUR taste. I really believe in the volume pedal after gain before delay/time based effects. This way you can kill the line noise if fuzzes are left on so it will be silent when you kill it, not a 60 cycle hum sound. Delay coming after so you can still do swells and other neat fun. I assume the VT after all the gain to create the simulation of an amp preamp. Maybe even at the end of your chain altogether, really depends how you use it.

This is the recommended for traditional use of the pedals, however experiment and find your sounds.

Ok, Ive been looking all over the net on how to properly setup all of my gear and Ive seen all sorts of ways possible. I understand fully that its according to my taste, but I want to know if there is a general rule of lining these up. Here is what I have and here is how Im messing with it.

SansAmp Bass Driver DI (I use as a pre-amp)
Boss GT-6b effects processor
Mark Tremonti Power Wah Boost
Bass Big Muff Pi
Nady DKW-1 Wireless
Crate BX50 practice amp (no effects loop)

My setup is more or less like this...

AMP---bass DI---processor----dist----wah----wireless----BASS

Is this correct or is there a better way? Also, I plan on pretty much eliminating the processor eventually and get a compressor, tuner, and noise gate, maybe even an Eq later...so where these fit into my equation? ANy help would be great!would

FWIW, i always run my tuner at the end of my chain, before the preamp that's also my DI, so i can use it as a mute. i don't really think "cleanliness of signal" should matter that much. i only tune between songs and it's easy to make sure nothing else is on to muddy the signal.

and some people prefer to keep an octaver at the beginning of a chain to let it have the dryest single to track from, some people (where i'm at) LOVE the sound of fuzzes or distortions getting synthed and extra bottomed out by an octaver. for me, the octaver before any fuzz distortion madness sounds poo-like.

but, as always, try different combos. filter after fuzz gives a nice funky tone, fuzz after filter gives a slight wackiness to the fuzz sound. all in what you want.
