Pedal chain advice!!

Sign in to disble this ad
HI

After a couple decades, Ive purchased a couple pedals and want to make sure Im using them correctly. I have an EBS multicomp compressor Ive used for years.

Here is the question. Do the pedals go before of after the compressor in my effects chain? Im guessing after. Let me know what is best for me

It's what sounds best to you. Personally, my compressor is near the end of my chain. There's no right or wrong, just what sounds good to the person playing.

I like my compressor at the end but I have some thought about moving certain pedals after it like an octave to see if it tracks a compressed signal better.

Hi

Ok, here goes.

Strobostomp tuner, EBS multicomp, Voodoo lab chorus, voodoo lab Sparkel drive. Might be adding a micro pog soon

There's lots of different ways to do it, but I'd personally go tuner, drive, pog, chorus, and comp. Or, tuner, drive, comp, pog, and chorus. My set up, as of today, is, drive, octave, chorus, envelope follower, envelope filter, envelope phaser, tuner, comp, and sonic stomp. Next week, who knows.
