Forgive me if this has been addressed before. What pedal will give me that Upright bass, or Fretless sound for my 'Wick?

But if you`re desperate, a chorus pedal might help you somewhat get a fretless like sound, and for an upright tone I`d put foam under the strings, boost the bass, cut the treble, and pluck up high on the neck (above the fretboard). |

IMO, they sound horrible. considering you can get a fretless SX for $120, the $200 youll spend on a terrible sounding simulator wont be worth it. |

Caveat....If you're not used to playing fretless, realize that there is a learning curve involved, and unless you have great sense of pitch, you may never master it.

the only fretless i ever played was years ago, and my teacher owned it. the thing had nylon strings on it, and sounded really cool... i just sucked at it, so i said thanks but no thanks (same thing with a 5er... played one once, and said to hell with this messed up string spacing and tension. stingray 4 for life!). | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
