The processed sound sounds good but is n't a higher sounding bass, if you know what I mean, it's more of a synthy wierd thing.
What you can do with it is send the processed octace up signal to a guit*r amp and add effects as you would for a guit*r. I had some great fun the other week spliting the signal from the bass and sending a parallel feed to the micro pog followed by a phaser and then a distortion pedal into a second amp. |

I wanna make organ like sounds with it.
I'm learning Toccata et Fuga on bass.
I also ordered a Ibanez Tonelok SB-7 Bass Synthesizer today.
Yeah, I also have pedal GAS.
(And I used to be such a purist. )
I'm also thinking of ordering a EHX Big Muff (USSR). Anyone has experience with this?
And... I'm also considering a COSM device for amp&cab(s) simulation. Don't know wich one yet: Line6 Pod or something from Roland. Perhaps a combo with COSM in it.
Ah, I'm coming over to the ______ side of bass playing. fill in the blank please |

I agree: a man can't have too much equalizer pedals.
But are you trying to breed them?
You probably switch between them,... right? |

Very cool that they are placed next to each other.
It's cool that it confuses people, like me at first.
I would do similar things.
I have pedal-circuits in mind and I always think: an EQ there to bring that up, an EQ there to bring this down, an EQ here to...
I adviced the owner of my local music store to always keep at least 2 BOSS EQ in stock just in case the voice in my head tells me: "Buy 2 of these, and call me in the morning." |

"Look it has a 10-band eq, that many different presets like you were asking for..."
"Yeah, but I can't place it before my overdrive-pedal and after at the same time. And at the same time put it in another loop with a setting for tapping. And at the same time placing it at the end of the loop of my effected circuit."
And then he looked at me funny.
As if there was something wrong with me.
Anyway, sorry to hijack this thread.

At least I'm not alone.
At least that store owner is happy each time I come in.
He always asks in what I am interested next. So he can order it, put it on display, and tempt me to buy it next time.
As long as he is selling stuff.... but he's okay. He makes sure I get what I want/need. |

I still use it for really rich organ sounding thing coupled with a chorus, and I have on occasion mixed in a little octave up and octave down to my dry signal going through a distortion to add a little more definition while adding some mud waaay down there
