Yes. And no. Depends on who you ask and what there definition of 'good' is.

Look, fact is we are not mind-readers, nor are we a pointless poll-posting bunch of feeble-minded nimbys like you'll find over at harmony central. So ask some more specific, less subjective questions and you might get some discussion going.

no need to discuss, as far as BASS goes, its a bad pedal. not really subject to discussion, it flat out cuts A LOT of your low end out. its not bad at all for guitar, but for bass i'd definately have to tell you to steer away..i bought one like 2 years ago..its on ebay as we speak..

I love mine, There is a ton of different sounds you can get. I like it mainly for fingerstyle playing, but it can get a good slap sound if you adjust it right.

You can hear me using it in "Sky's on Fire"
(check my signature for the myspace link)

1:03-1:20
This part was slapped and I don't really think it sounds good. However, I have had been able to get an awesome sound at this section when we've played it other times.

3:29-4:35
This part is fingerstyle and uses a lot of mid-rangy notes

9:10-the end
This part is fingerstyle(mostly) and it starts off with some very low notes including Low D.

Maybe what's good for me it's not good for you.

For the sounds I want, the AW-3 pretty much sucked big time.

I'd suggest hat you give it a try before you buy it.
Just in case.

Case in point!

Andy V. struck home when he suggested you just go and try it out for yourself.

If you want a filter/autowah, there are LOADS of better choices out there. Popular pedals on here you should look out for ere EHX QTron, DOD FX25, Boomstick Bottom Feeder, Maxon AF-9, MXR Bass Auto Q, Emma Discombobulator, Tweaktronix Dynamic Filter, Jaques Trinity, Robot Factory Meatwad, Mutron, blah blah blah.
