Pedal Help

Sign in to disble this ad
Hey guys. I am in the market for a pedal board of some sort. I want something that is decently versatile and reasonably priced. As you can probably tell, I am pretty new to this whole effects deal, so any help is appreciated. Just to let you know, I have a Mark Hoppus sig and an 100w Ampeg.

Thanks guys

Do you want a pedal board, pedals, multi-effects? If you are just starting out a good multi would be good to get a feel for everything.

The most cost-effective solution is to build your own. Buy adhesive velcro on ebay in larger quantities and the rest at Home Depot. My board probably cost me about $25 total and looks very professional (IMHO).

I used 1/2" MDF and 1/2" J-channel as edging. I bought the "Velcro" from a place in South Korea for cheap and it's good stuff. I'd advise as a guideline that you figure out how big you want it, then double that...

Also, you might want to look into a good case for the board (harder to make than the board, so probably worth buying), and maybe build the board to fit the appropriate size case.

How portable must the effects board be?

There are a few thread here on home-built boards...

- home made boards....lets see them...

- My personal very custom pedalboard build....here we go.

...and the Pedaltrain boards get a lot of love also, and most of them have a hard-case option.

Well I want something more like a pod I guess? Something that can do a good amount without the hassle of having alot of smaller pedals with cords connecting them
