Pedal Not Working

Sign in to disble this ad
Not sure whether this should be posted here, but it seems the most likely location.

I recently bought a Catalinbread S.F.T. stompbox and, although it worked for a while, it has now ceased to work. When off, the pedal allows signal to reach the amp. When the pedal is turned on the light comes on to indicate this but there is no signal.

The amp is an Eden N8JR 25W and the bass is a Fender Jazz Bass Deluxe (active) if thats any help.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

+1. There are good people running the show at Catalinbread. Let them know what the issue is, and I'm sure they can get you fixed up.

Have you double-checked that the volume knob is not down all the way? I can't tell you how many times I had a pedal with the exact symptoms you describe, only to discover that I had accidentally bumped the volume knob to "off".

Great suggestion OP, but unfortunately there isn't so much as a hum from the amp when the volume is full; I even checked, just in case! Thanks.

I actually just freaked myself out doing that, except it was with my looper pedal. I thought I turned down the decay, except it was actually the looper's volume. So I was scratching my head trying to figure out why I couldn't record anything.
