Pedal order with blender...confused

Sign in to disble this ad
Ok so first i want these effects in the chain

bass vt>wah>fuzz factory>delay>reverb

i have a wounded paw blender/effects loop. So if i had all of those in the chain....could i use the blender as an effects loop so the tone doesnt get sucked out?

Also do you even think much tone would be lost?

Bass vt,weeping demon,fuzz factory,flashback delay,hardwire delay

note: im planning my board out and have all the pieces except the delay and reverb pedals. But those two seem to be the best

Tone is mostly lost through non-true bypass pedals. Since you don't mention putting only one or two pedals in you're loop, I'm assuming you want all of them in there.

To do that, just hook up your whole chain to the loop's send and return. Then, plug your bass into the input of the loop and run a cable from the output of your loop to your amp.
With this setup, you'll only be able to blend all of your effects into your dry signal, not each individual effect.

Of course, you can turn the blend knob to accommodate individual pedals, if you run them one at a time.

yea i thought the tone might get a lil muddy'd up with all of them in there at once. which is what i was thinking.

hm.....i guess ill take a look again at my pedals to see which are tru bypass and which arent.

thanks

Blenders are usually used to mix clean bass with effected bass. IMO the only two of those pedals that could greatly benefit from being in a blender are the fuzz factory and the weeping demon.

Delays generally have a blend as part of the effect and the VT is pretty bass heavy without a blender.

If I had your stuff the wah and fuzz are what I'd be putting in the blender fx loop.
