I was close enough to see Dan's pedalboard when I went to last night's Between The Buried And Me show. Boss tuner, boss delay set for transitional oscillation, ehx bass micro-synth, green ibanez/maxon type stomp (let's assume tube screamer), and a boss tremolo. He broke his low B during Augment Of Rebirth and his tech ran him out a Legend 5 to play during the rest of that song and the next two and a half. Both basses sounded really good. The Legend was maybe not quite as smooth as his neck-through, but it had a more clear top end. Also, I caught one of Dusty's picks, and that's pretty awesome.

hey guys, my band Old Worlds Official Site - Home/Info is opening up for The Appleseed Cast on May 1st, so i'll try to get some sweet shots of any gear i may find.

i'll try not to act like a 12 year-old girl, cause i've had a terrible crush on them since 1997.

The order I listed them in is the signal path, and they were in one of those Boss pedalboards.

Lightning Bolt last night. In so much pain today and pretty deaf, even with earplugs. Totally worth it. Pretty sure my head was in Brian's bass drum while he was pounding away at some points.

What bass is Dave playing live these days?

Also, he's a great guy, very humble, and a fantastic player.

Awesome Lightning Bolt story:

I saw them live years ago on tour with Battles, at the First Presbyterian Church in Philly. Battles is on stage and they play their set. The second the last note of their last song faded out, Lightning Bolt started playing - they had set up at the back of the venue on the floor. The whole crowd surged backward to surround the band. What then commenced was probably the most awesome live band experience I've ever been a part of - more tribal celebration than anything else. Oh and I think I lose about 5 lbs. from the heat and sweat.

I'm off tomorrow, so I will indeed get on that. And yes, Dave Ed is truly the coolest guy on the planet! My girlfriend can't handle even remotely edgy music...in fact, she hates it! However, Dave Ed is like her favorite person on the planet. She freakin' adores Dave, as do I and anyone else who has shared air space with the man in any way, shape, or form.

Young Widows in Philly last night at Johnny Brenda's.
Nick was using the R&D (drop D tuning) into (in no particular order) switcher/looper, vintage RI rat, Bluebeard, ns-2, echo park, pliers, green digitech/dod jawn into 2 ampeg 200t's into emperors.

This is really to plug a band my drummer turned me onto who I'm pretty stoked on and can't stop listening to.

Buke & Gass

Also to find out if any of my fellow FX lovers have ever heard of or are as stoked on these guys as I am.

These are just shots that are floating around on google images.

And for good measure here is a youtube vid to wet your whistle (Arone Dyer is adorable and I love her voice).
