Pedals that pair REALLY well together.
I've had an MXR Envelope filter for a little while that I bought simply for a recording project. I've liked it okay, but was never blown away by it. Kept it around anyway for fun every now and then. Didn't dislike it enough to sell it either. Well, I just got an MXR BOD (which I love), and when I turned them on together...WOW! They both just seemed to come to life together in a wonderful funky tone. Fat, funky, and full of life!
So, that got me thinking... what other pedals (make and models), in your opinion, have you discovered compliment each other REALLY well (or you were surprised didn't work well at all together, for that matter).

According to Norm Stockton, the Aguilar TLC Compressor & Tone Hammer work well together, and in fact, he never uses them separately.
Here’s his review of these two pedals together: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rp_cXS0cGOY

Love how my Aguilar Octamaizer and Filter Twin pedals mesh together.

digitech whammy (the red one) and a boss rv-5 has always been a favorite of mine. normally i opt for cooler and more boutique pedals, but these two are pretty hip.

Darkglass VMT either fed by and IE Xerograph Deluxe or feeding an IE Polytope; beautifully dirty mod-tone

I get a lot of mileage out of a Korg G5 (synth processor) followed by an Ibanez AF9 (envelope-controlled filter). I'd say that nearly 50% of the time that I'm using one of them the other is also on.

Aguilar Agro with another OD. I use a MI Audio Blueboy deluxe.
The Agro alone is set to give me an agressive tone with more highs, while the blueboy gives me a darker sound with just a little grit. Both together get me more dirt than either pedal alone and boomier lows, i really like it for the strong parts.

I know a fair few people who think the diamond bass comp and the b3k sound great together.

An EHX MicroPog into a Pigtronix EP2 is awesome. I usually just had the direct and the octave up without any sub octave. It's great for some upper register Tool-esque tones.

I heard some clips of an IE SubT into a SA Manta that sounded amazing. I can't wait to use that combination.

Every pedal on my current board work well together, no matter how I pair them.

I really like the sound of fuzz and chorus paired together. I use the russian big muff with the digitech bass chorus and thoroughly enjoy it. It may not be too practical, but it puts a smile on mah face! :D

Bad monkey into big muff. I would then role my vol. On my bass Down a bit. And poff! Tone Of The Gods would in sue. Tone was big fuzzy and still accurate. A "money" sound out of 120 bucks worth of kit
