I'll be working with this until I get more funds in for a
Line6 G30/G50 and I want to find a nicer od/distortion eventually too. Looking at you b3k.... :

Is the toggle switch an on/off switch?

Timeline is gone now, imagine a Disaster Transport instead.

Anyone else using the Pelican iM2500 case?
I'm thinking if I can mount some sort of separator in it so the bottom is filled with cables and then the pedal just sits on a removable board on top.
I tour a lot and the Mini and Nano are the perfect size but softcase is not ideal.
Been looking recently at mounting them in a big production case along with all our other bits.
Do like them Pelican cases though, there is a nice size for the Line 6 M13 as well I've noticed.

How much, do you reckon, would a mini cost along with the power supply and cables for 5/6 pedals?

At a bare minimum if you buy new, it'd be about $140ish by my math:
$70 for the Mini
$35 for a 1-Spot
$30ish for patch cables (you can get bulk patch cables at GC for about $5 each)

| | | | Those prices sound right; I think I paid about $110-$120 after taxes. Just need get my act together and start putting it together, especially after seeing all of these great examples.
The T Rex power supply might be a future upgrade if the One Spot doesn't work out. |

Cable mess is much easier to manage than people realize. The right cables help of course, but it doesn't take too much effort to make your board clean. Check out my Mini below. The guitarist for my church constantly talks about how no matter what configuration of pedals I have, I've always got the cleanest board he's ever seen.
I normally use a Planet Waves cable kit, but my board is in transition at the moment, until after the holidays when I can make a couple key purchases and finish both boards. In the newest revision of my board, I'm using those simple $5/each patch cables I mentioned. It's not as clean as I'm used to, but it's only for (hopefully) a couple weeks. (The Planet Waves are the connectors between the Dark Driving and PWNZOR.)
The key, my friend, is these: Velcro reusable ties. I'm using two currently, but I've had 3-4 on the mini and I think up to 8 on my PT1. Got them at Lowe's for $2.99 and there are no end to the uses for these things. I even stick them to things around the house and they drive my stupid cats nuts. lol
5sg.
Current setup:
and a few versions ago, with the Planet Waves cable Kit. Not quite as easy in super tight spaces as George L's or Lava, but also less expensive. And shiny black chrome. lol

This will be the effects on the board though, possibly changing out the wah for an mxr envelope filter but we'll see. |
