peter steele amp & distortion settings

hello does anyone know how i could get a similar effect of peter steele from type o negative (RIP) using my simple bass amp and my boss metal zone pedal? thanks

It's possible to get peter steele's sound with the boss metal zone. first off, turn up the lows at 2 'o clock and turn down the highs to 9 'o clock. set the mid-range control to 11 'o clock. set the mid-frequency control to 1 'o clock. and set the gain to 11 'o clock. and set the level control to your liking. also add a chorus pedal. peter steele uses distortion with chorus. if your concern about low-end losses, an effects loop or a blender pedal should fix that up. hope this helps you out.

it is possible i do it myself... i have an MT2 Metal Zone, a DD3 Digital delay and a Boss CEB3 for chorus, although he uses the CH1 guitar chorus version of it. just email me and ill send you a pic of my board if youre still looking for it!
