Phaser

I want a decent amount of versatility but something that isn't
to thin sounding.

right now i'm leaning toward Hardwire SP-7.

I've never owned a phaser pedal.
I want something under $150.

What would you suggest.

I want to use it in conjunction with my octave, homemade fuzz, wah and filter for something wild.

Why not a BYOC where you can make some mods as you see fit? Already have a homemade fuzz too.

I always get compliments when I use one of these:

I've had an EHX Stereo Polyphase on my board for a few years now. The tone is good (though not the best I've heard), and the control over the sweep is better than most other units. They can be had used for around $100.

An HBE Psilocybe might be worth looking into.

I was going to suggest the Moog MF-103, but it costs considerably more than $100. The Boss PH-3 is a tad bit more expensive ($130), but it will do just about everything, and it sounds nice. Plus, it's a Boss, which means it will survive being run over by a semi, and will take the same power supply that we have all come to love.

I would opt (as I have) for a used Boss PH-2 Super Phaser. They run about 50-60 bucks and there are some esy mods for them. I can't solder very good and I did 2 mods (LFO disable and phase inversion for pulse-like sweeps). Check my profile and you'll see that it can hang with all my fuzzes well.

Hah, I just bought a good ol' Phase 90, from MXR. Sounds great with bass. Listen to Thin Lizzy's "Waiting for an Alibi."
