pitchfactor + yamaha FC7 = effects challenged?

Hey,

I'm probably just an effects moron, but I can't seem to get my pitchfactor to work with the yamaha fc-7 I bought for it. I used search before I bought the fc7, it seemed like several people had used one with a pitchfactor. I read both manuals. I connect the fc7 into the jack for expression pedal, the fc7 has a trs cable integrated into it. According to the pitchfactor manual, the green light next to the effect choice is supposed to blink. Mine stays solid. Moving the fc7 does nothing, it should show the number the fc7 is on. I tried various combos of restarting pitchfactor with pedal plugged in, plug in after it's on, etc. Nothing.

Any suggestions?

Well, is the Yamaha FC7 an expression pedal(?), or something else(?)

I use Ernie ball vp-jr with my Pitchfactor, never tried the Yamaha. I’m not sure if that the problem but as far as I know you don't need to use TRS cable for the expression pedal.

Seems like if the TRS is the problem, other people would have said the FC-7 wouldn't work.

Maybe I misinterpreted this thread, and the person who said FC7 hadn't actually used it with the pitchfactor

cheap expression pedal options

But this guy says the FC7 works with a timefactor

I have a hard time believing it's the TRS. Seems like there has to be some operator error.

Is it possible there two kinds of the Yamaha FC7?
Here it looks like TRS –
http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/FC7
and here not –
http://usa.yamaha.com/products/music...c7/?mode=model

Also, did you find any information online about the maximum values of the potentiometer? (It should be between 5k Ohms to 25k Ohms).
