Popping noise on my bass crybaby

Hey guys,

Recently I've been having issues with my crybaby as it makes popping noises when wahing and when I turn it on or off. Im wondering if its a dust issue or faulty wiring? I'm hoping someone has had a similar issue and found a solution. Any help is appreciated

Try this: http://www.geofex.com/Article_Folders/box_pop.htm

My guess is the input and output caps have gone bad and are leaking DC.

It's very rare for capacitors to fail - much more likely the pot has worn out, it happens to ALL electro-mechanical wahs eventually. Usually (not always) these wah pots are sealed and can't be cleaned, it will need to be replaced.

The 105Q is a very different circuit from the standard CryBaby wahs - it's more complex, doesn't use an inductor, and has automatic electronic switching.

The 9v battery in mine was hitting the circuit board inside. I had to clearance the plastic battery cover to avoid contact! A small piece of the circuit board actually broke off, and it still works!
