Sign in to disble this ad
Hi folks just signed up here so dunno if this is the right section to ask this question in but ill ask anyway.

Im after a power conditioner for my rig and im wondering if the
FURMAN M-10X E is any use for bass or would I have to buy a specific one.Im having hell with me set up at the moment because im using a nathan east parametric eq with a chorus and digith synth wah pedal running into a harkte Lh 500 with a Tc electronics bc 410 and while I was gigging the other night my cab popped and started farting out after 3 songs..I wasnt over powering the speaker and Im in a bit of a muddle of how to stop this happening..its happened my last 3 set ups although ive changed basses..any help?

You probably need your amp serviced. It may have dry/cold solder joints. Can you bring the noise on by thumping it with your fist? Try swapping out components of your rig one at a time to try to isolate the faulty item.

The power conditioner almost certainly won't fix the problem but it's a good idea anyway.

Been lots of threads here about "Power Conditioners" including input from some real experts. Don't waste your money on a "conditioner". Really---don't. Good surge protector with ground protection, sure. A "conditioner"---no way. Bogus, so don't fall for the hype on them..
