Hey guys,
I want a stompbox/footswitch on my pedalboard that will turn my entire rig (including the amp) on and off.
Any ideas on a product that does this or better yet, how to make one myself from and old stompbox, and some parts from the hardware store and/or Radio Shack?
Peace.

But it was funny.
It would have been even funnier if you had at least noticed that those are not US style sockets though. |

American DJ makes some boxes that let you do the same thing for 1 or more power cables...But that's going to up your price...$6 or $60...your choice! |

| | | | I'm thinking of something along the lines of the OP...
I'm looking for a footswitchable power strip so I can turn various lights on and off during a song. Let's say 6 outlets and 6 footswitches, for the simplest case. Heck, it would even be cool to have something like a volume pedal to fade them in and out.
I doubt regular signal-level footswitches could stand up to the amperage used in a power application. I'm also concerned that a homemade device might introduce noise into amps on the same circuit, and of course safety since I'm not an electrician much less a circuit designer.
Anybody know of a manufactured, warranteed product that does this?

EVAR!
Kidding.
When I turn it on, I leave it on as long as I think I might come back to it at some point during that same day. Muting with the tuner as needed. If I think I'm done for the day/night, I turn everything off individually. |

| | | | Maybe I should start a new thread. My need is similar to the OP, but actually not quite the same. I want to switch or fade lights on and off during a song. I'll just start a new thread.

Sockets in the power strip looked fine to me, don't need/want N. American plugs. ;-P
Anyway, good luck with your quest. [EDIT] I originally posted this from my iPad, which doesn't show anyone's location information, but now reading the thread on my main computer... I see the OP is from Boston. Duh...I'll just crawl back in my cave and charge up the iPad with British-style sockets/plugs...[/Edit]
