power strip vs extension cable?

Sign in to disble this ad
So as I'm wiring up my pt-jr I was putting a powerstrip underneath but since I'm only using a one spot and the adapter for the line 6 m9, it looks like I could get away with just an extension cable. That way I could reach farther with it and not have as much underneath. What are the drawbacks to using just an extension cable vs a power strip?

In your case, the only advantage to using a powerstrip is the circuit breaker, or if you were to use a "better" powerstrip, maybe some RF and EFI filters.

What if you just plugged the extension cable into a "better" powerstrip?
