Power supplies under pedaltrain....safe?

Sign in to disble this ad
I velcro-ed my cioks powersupply under my pedaltrain(meant to fit the voodoo). Its not the recommended way to do it, but i thought it held firm and fits nice, why not?

Today I went to check my powersupply, its freaking hot. And the glue on the velcro hav melted from the heat

I usually practise w my effects on. and i can leave it on for say 4-5 hours straight. Is it safe at all? So far the power supply still works, but I hope i haven significantly shortened its lifespan

So I assume power supplies to get pretty hot if u use them for 5 or 6 hours straight? Is it recommended though?

I've had my Fueltank zip-tied under my PT JR for the past 3 years and it's been pretty hot at times, but it hasn't failed me once.

Same with my T-REX FUEL TANK JR. Have it Dual-Locked on the bottom of a PT Jr. No issues. Great lower-cost solution than a PP2+ depending on your pedal assortment.
