Just curious here as I've never seen one (and I've no problem with using my current adapter), but are there any power supplies that can take the place of 14v AC power supplies like the Boss BRC adapters? |

you could probably get 14V with that... you would have to test it with a mutlimeter first....
yeah, one SAG output would put out 5V when adjusted correctly, then connect it in parallel to a 9V output
these things cost like $200 IIRC though

I don't think the Pedal Power AC can power it, either - it provides 12VAC, which may not be adequate.
When it comes to weird AC pedals like that, you're pretty much stuck with the wall wart.

That will most likely work without issues if you feed it DC. The thing is that 14V AC will (after rectification and filtering) result in 18V DC, which is then probably regulated to 12V. So I bet an 18V DC adapter will work without issues.

I never thought to try it for worry of damage- I guess I'll go give it a shot |

Anyone know the name of the type of adapter end I need? |

It's a 2.5mm barrel jack, then. But make sure you verify whether it's center-positive or negative (center-positive being "reverse polarity", since center-negative is the standard). That way, you'll know exactly what you need.
It'll say what it is on your original adapter.
