I recently sold my multi-effects pedal to buy stomp pedals and need suggestions for how to power them.
I want to power the following chain:
Pitchblack Tuner>EBS Multi Comp>Sansamp VT>Chorus (unknown brand).
Do I need to invest in something like a Voodoo Labs PP2 (could buy alot of 9v's for $160)?
EBS' manual for the multi-comp adapter said it could power other pedals. Is that an option?
Thanks |

I'd rather have as few ac adapters as possible and I should have stated I'd like to just throw the stomp pedals I'm using into my gigbag so I'd like to not buy/bring a pedal board.
The visual sound onespot sounds like an option. |

The reason to pay $100 for that instead of the onespot is the isolated outputs of this one will work if you ever buy a pedal which uses a reverse-polarity power plug, which is where the onespot will often fail.
If all your pedals are the same polarity though, the onespot will do you fine. |

At least here in Europe they're much cheaper (like 1/3rd) than the PP2.

At least here in Europe they're much cheaper (like 1/3rd) than the PP2. | The Trex jr is $100 and the PP2 is $170. Almost half.

Thanks to all. |

You could also get a tu-2 and the daisy chain for it. That works quite well too. Only gripe I had with it was there wasn't enough length between points.

I'm only going to be powering 3 pedals, and I really don't feel like buying a $20 adapter if I already have one that will work. It will be powering a Korg Pitchblack, Sanamp BDDI and an undetermined fuzz. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
