MEGA help needed,...
;powered pedal tote pedalboard was all working fine last night with all pedals powered except the rat being battery powered,...
bought a 3.5mm stereo to 3.5mm stereo plug cos it was all that I could find that would power the rat,... plugged it in and thought hmmm they fit so should be ok, flicked the switch at the wall and now everything is dead except the rat (battery in there),... HELP???
have I buggered it in some way? ive managed to get it all to work previously when its stopped cos of something I know wasnt working (dead patch leads etc) but now I can't get it to turn on any of them except the rat (when it was all working last night)

I think that you should be able to find an actual adaptor that will make the Rat work with a regular power supply. |

yeah just ordered the adaptor, in the meantime I have to hope I haven't killed the power supply or shorted a pedal or something
ive noticed when theres a problem with the gator in any way shape or form it kills all signal flow, kind of annoying when I have 8 pedals + patch leads + power cords to try and work out which is the one giving me grief!!!

Putting even one pedal with reverse polarity in a daisy chain power supply can bugger the entire chain. Plus you wanted a mono cable, not stereo, so who knows where the ground is/n't connected. |

Unplug the Rat. Remove the power cord from the pedal and the power supply. See if that gets you power for the rest of the pedals. If it does, then you've figured out your problem. Just because the Rat is getting power, it doesn't mean that it's not interrupting the circuit. |

I wish that proco made the rat with a boss type connector like all the other pedals I own and that come with the gator!

#1 - why'd you get a stereo 3.5mm cable?
#2 - does everything else still work when you completely remove the RAT from the chain?

to fix it I completely removed the rat from the chain then removed the power from every pedal,... AFAIK this acts like a reset... cos all is working now I'll leave it alone until the 1spot adapter is safely connected rather than blow anything up from now on in
