Powering a 'BYOC' pedal with DC

Sign in to disble this ad
Here comes yet another one of my questions.

I have a BYOC Phaser, and I am currently running it on batteries. I have an overall hatred towards batteries and I'm wondering if I can power it off my 9V DC daisy chain.

The problem is that in the instructions while building, it uses the term 'AC Adapter' as an alternative to batteries. In most other BYOC pedals, a 'DC Adapter' is put on instead. This may sound like a stupid question, but I really don't want to break my pedal.

Can I use my 9V DC daisy chain to power this pedal?

Edit: Yes I have done searches.

The term "AC adapter" is usually used to mean a wall wart that converts AC to DC. There are exceptions, but I'd bet that's all that happened there. IOW your current supply should be fine.

Thanks for the quick reply.

I'm just a bit confused because all of the other build instructions used the term 'DC adapter'.

Edit: However it is a Phase 90 clone, so I presume what you describe is correct and that I will be able to use my daisy chain.
