Powering Crowther Audio's Prunes and Custard

Sign in to disble this ad
Hey there everyone!
I recently managed to find a Prunes and Custard pedal and it's amazing! Can get some wicked sounds with it

I was just wondering though, with this pedal I use a battery, but there's also a DC socket to power it.
Whenever i plug an adapter into it, the light goes on, but only when nothing is connected to the pedal. When i plug a cable into the 'input' end, the light goes off and it doesnt work?

Basically i want to be able to power it via the socket because using batteries all the time is tedious!

Can anybody help me with this?!

Thanks,

Jamie

Is the power supply regulated? Are there other pedals on the power supply (one spot, powered pedalboard)?

I got mine in two days ago and it IS pretty freaking wicked. I love this thing. I just plug mine in using my one spot...that's also plugged in to my floor tuner and Barnacle Fuzz pedal....I've never had any issues with it. It just plugs right in and plays.

As long as it's outputting 9v DC like most other pedals take, it should be fine. Sounds like you've got a problem.

well i dont think its the adapter that is the problem, because when I plug it in, the light goes on, its just when i put an input in, the light goes off and it doesnt do anything? :/

Mine was delivered 2 days ago. Using either battery or power supply, when engaged, my volume drops to 5%. Rotating the Mix pot results in intermittent jumps to full volume - obviously a bad pedal.

I was going to try to fix/replace the pot, but he doesn't exactly make his pedals serviceable - all that epoxy goo.

Oh well, returning for an exchange that will likely take a month. {sigh}
