Technically, you won't be connecting the 1 Spot to the tuner - the daisy chain is designed so that you plug directly into that, and then the daisy chain splits the power among the pedals. It's simple enough that you don't need a pedal with a DC-out jack for it to work.
As for the DC Brick... the only advantages are the 18VDC outputs and built-in circuit protection (which is meaningless if you're already plugging into a surge protector or power conditioner). Like the 1 Spot, it has a variety of cables to connect to both standard and non-standard power jacks.
Basically... unless you have 18VDC pedals and can find a DC Brick used for a good price, it's not really worth it. You're better off with the 1 Spot.
Now, if you want to get into supplies that actually give you more than 18VDC capability for your money... look into isolated-output supplies. But for you, they're most likely overkill... only seek them if you run into hum issues or problems powering particularly unusual pedals. The 1 Spot will most likely be all you need.
I'm partial to the DC Brick because of its 18VDC outputs, and because it's never failed on me. I've had to replace a bad 1 Spot before. As far as I know, however, 1 Spot failures are rare (unlike their overpriced and problematic competitor, the Godlyke Powerall...
