Powering Pedals and the EHX Problem

Sign in to disble this ad
I've recently started collecting pedals and I'd like to get a pedalboard together. I looked into external power supplies such as the 1Spot, but it appears it won't power a number of my pedals. Here's what I've got:

EHX Stereo Memory Man with Hazarai
EHX Bass Big Muff
EHX Enigma Q-Tron
BBE Opto Stomp
Tech 21 VT Bass
Planet Waves Tru Strobe

The best bet appears to be the Pedal Power 2 Plus (spendy, though!), although they don't offer a compatibility chart the way a lot of the other manufacturers do.

To be clear: I'm a newbie player with little spare time for playing or practice, so I doubt I'll be gigging anytime soon.

As far as I know those can all be powered by a one-spot. The one-spot compatibility chart is not new. I think the SMMH and Enigma both came out after that list was made.

You could also look at a Trex Fuel Tank JR or BBE Supacharger.

I have the SMMH and the PW Tru Strobe, and they don't seem to get along on a non-isolated power supply. They both tend to make noise when powered up by my Gator G-Bus 8, but I just got a Supa Charger, so hopefully that will work better.
