I'm confused by the amperage. I have an EBS power supply for a pedal that has 640 mA.
How many mA does a pedal typically need? Are they all the same?
Would I be able to operate 2 or three pedals with the 1.4A supply?
What is the difference between r normal and a switched power supply?
Every pedal is different, but many of them state, either on the pedal or manual, what the current draw (number of mA's) is. Most small pedals are under 100 mA. You have a power supply giving 1.4A, which is the same as 1,400mA. I believe a One Spot puts out 1,700mA, and thise are used to chain-power up to 8 pedals at once, maybe more if you added another daisy chain. Here
is a list someone has compiled of the current draw of a number of pedals. If yours isn't listed, he explains how to figure it out on your own.
