Y'know, I don't know about anyone else, but I kinda like my cheap pedals. My BDI21 which only costs me 30 dollars does a damn good job.
Was it my first choice? No. A BDDI was.
Does it work? Yes. It works wonderfully. And, at $30 bucks, I can't really complain.
So why'd I get it as opposed to a BDDI? Well, I can't afford a BDDI. Not now, anyways. School & commuting to school (50+ miles each way) eats up all my money and job time.
I want to hear everyone elses story of appreciation about their cheap pedals of ANY brand, make, ect, cause despite what it seems otherwise I know y'all are out there.

And my tuner is a cheapie knock off of a korg stomp, I had a Peterson, but it fell over and no longer works......

anyways...
I gotta say the $10 dano fab chorus I got does a pretty nice job!
EHX's cheaper stuff is great too!

For almost $80, my Small Stone Nano gets it done. Outside of Behringer and Danelectro it doesn't get any cheaper for the effects I've built. Woolly Mammoth clone for $40? Oh yeah. |

There are some $300+ dogs out there but more often than not you get something good for your money.
With inexpensive pedals, you're less likely to get a good sounding pedal. BUT, there are a ton of inexpensive pedals out there, so there's bound to be a number of really good value ones. In fact, I bet I could build a really solid 8 pedal board for well under $500. |

My Messdrive was under $100 but I'm looking to trade that for either a modded Sovtek Muff or Bass Muff, both under $100. |

The only bass specific pedal on my board is the boss limiter enhancer...and it is the only pedal that I bought new. For the price I love it, but would like to try a more expensive and musical sounding compressor.
Everything else I either bought used or traded for and that is what I love about FX. Doing some homework and looking for cheap used stuff can really open up the sonic palette. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
