Preamp/Booster before or after Compressor?

I've got a Xotic Tri-Logic Bass Preamp and was wondering whether to put it before or after my Aphex Punch Factory Compressor. Thanks for any advice.

What's the most common order for those that have a boost and a compressor? I would think boosting a compressed signal makes more sense because the output is more even to begin with. Any takers?

Compressors are usually among the first effects on the chain... is certainly more common to boost the compressed signal, but not mandatory!
I at least always put the compressor first.

Regards

Doug.

I don't have a booster but I have my overdrive in front of my compressor. The comp changes the character of the od, makes it a bit tighter. The other way around doesn't do much for me.

Depends on the compressor! I've never played an Aphex, so dunno

Yeah, depends on the compressor, and the other pedals... at the end, like many things, is a matter of taste!
