Preamp Pedal Headroom Question (VTD Content)

so... should i engage the "1/4 Out Boost" on my VT Deluxe when i'm running the 1/4 out into a power amp?

does that (usually) send too hot of a signal? or is that more in the range of what a power amp is looking for?

i go between using a SWR Amplite (2 soon) and a QSC GX-5 if that matters.

well there are plenty of countries who don't celebrate labor day (usa is the only one that does, really) so maybe your question will be answered by a foreigner

anyway, that switch is more about instrument level vs line level. if you were running the vtd in a loop (god forbid!), you might want the boost to bring it to line level. but for general usage, i find that all it does for me is make it harder to set levels, so i leave it off. i figure i never needed it for the original vt and i don't need it now.

yeah... it clips when WAY easier when i run into an audio interface with it on, so i leave... un-depressed?... in that situation.

sweet. that's kinda what i thought, but always a good idea to take a dip in ths Talkbass Knowledgd Water.
