Tried several including Aguilar, Sansamp and Radial Bassbone. For my passive vintage J-basses (fretted & fretless) it sounds best and is dead easy to use. |

I actually find my Amplitube/ iPad even better regarding tone also when connected directly into the PA, but the BDDI is a "real" preamp with both XLR and 1/4" connections, including phantom power and ground lift. |

I have owned the Bassbone and the eq can only be fully applied to one channel and a lack of any drive or grit was disappointing for me, however the DI was excellent. |
