I really like being able to switch up my bass tone on the fly.
I used to gig with a SansAmp Programmable DI pedal, which I loved
because It had 3 footswitchable presets which I got some very distinct
tones out of.
Now I use GenzBenz GBE 600 head which sounds better (to me), and has
some tone shaping foot switch goodness.
but I miss flexiblity I could get from the SansAmp PDDI. However the
one thing I felt the sansamp lacked was a good parametric EQ section.
I know there are some preamps out there with teh paramteric goodness,,
like the FX-1 but I don't think I've ever seen or heard of a preamp
that comes close to the Sans-amp's degree of on-the-fly foot-switchy
tone flexibility.
Is there any such beast out there? |
