Presonus Bluetube

before anyone posts the cute picture about using the search function, I tried that.

I just went to basstasters (not sure if they are still updating their list) and heard the Presonus Bluetube. I was surprised that I liked the sound of all the basses that they were using to test it. Usually I only like a couple of the basses.

Does anyone still use this preamp? I compared it to clips of other tube preamps and liked the Presonus better. Is there something I am missing? It just seems to be a fairly low price compared to other tube preamps.

And I actually prefer the combination of tube preamp and ss amp. For my ears/my wallet/my back it offers the best of both worlds.

Is there something inherent in the design of a tube preamp that allows noise in (other than a gain control)? I live in an area where my stereo often gets bleed through from the local fm stations (I live very close to the towers).
