Pro Tone Fuzz

Hey everyone. Having no luck searching for these pedals on the boards, I thought I'd post and see if anyone has had first hand experience with Pro Tone. I've been on the search for a new fuzz box, and these pedals were intriguing to say the least but I could only find clips of them being used with a guitar. I emailed Dennis at Pro Tone yesterday and he did a side by side comparison video of the Peligro and Monster fuzz with a bass and had it uploaded by the end of the day. (Great customer service!) Pretty sure the clip was loaded up on their Google+ page if anyone else wants to check it out. Really thinking about pulling the trigger on the Peligro. Anyone else tried them out? Thoughts?

The Blasko Bass Overdrive has been on my radar lately. The MusicGearFast made a good demo. (found here: Pro Tone Pedals Blasko OD Demo by MusicGearFast.com - YouTube)

Liking the demo you had made. I was curious how the monster sounded on bass. Seems to hold it's own. I would choose the Monster, but that's just me. Depends on what sound you are going for. Monster is dark and hairy. Peligro is more raspy/gated/synthy.

I thought they both sounded pretty good, granted I was playing the vid through my crappy computer speakers. The Peligro seemed like it would be more versatile for what I play. Im just very impressed that a manufacturer would do a side by side comparison video for a potential customer. Something to be said for that.

wow - this company has changed quite a bit since I last checked them out . . . I dont even see the pedal of theirs I have on their site anymore (spitfire).

Its a good pedal (even though I'm about to put it on the block need other stuff) haven't used it much on bass . . . it is pretty kicking on guitar
