Punk Rock Tone

This is my first post and one of the major reason I signed up. I would need help with figuring out a specific tone that is common for bassist in modern punk rock / pop-punk bands. Bands such as Such Gold , The Wonder Years or The Story So Far can reach a really gritty and loose bass tone. I already play with a pick and my overdrive or fuzz pedal arent what Im looking for. Any suggestions of settings/effects/strings/amplifier ?

P bass to SVT to 810 is the general formula. Not much for effects, really.

What effects are you using now?

or P bass, Sans Amp pedal. Take your pick. Bass Driver DI, Para Driver, VT Bass.
