And speaking of cables and plugs and stuff...someone recently posted a link to somewhere that has G&L plugs and the flathead Hosa plugs for something like $25 a dozen or similar ridiculously good pricing; now I can't find that link. Anyone remember this?

Here's my main board, fresh off the rewiring bench. Polytope in, Bass Boost Chorus out, but still want to A/B the two directly. Getting the Poly on there made juuuust enough room to get the PWNZOR back on for another spin around the track!
5sg. | BUT there is only one envelope filter on there, and two potential sources of dirt. You aren't selling out on the filter freeks, are you??

The use of your BMC is interesting... bass boost. I would have thought you could have done that with your Submarine designer, however I have a feeling that the BMC would do it with less hiss.
How you finding the GR2 compared to you Xerograph? Also, what have you put in its loop? |

NICE.
i'm CLOSE to having my bigger board done. Lava's i ordered will be here tomorrow or Friday, have to wrap like 3 or 4 myself, then good to GO. lol. except waiting on 2 or 3 pieces. sooooon i hope.
but this is what i've been (crappy celly pic) using at practice....
it's actually pretty close to what i want on the bigger board. just adding a pair of bypass loops and some control stuff and 2 or 3 pedals on Tha Biggah.
but this board is MAD fun. helpa having people i love playig with too 'do. |

1. The wah looking pedals are Mission Engineering expression pedals, but the green one is actually the pigtronix expression pedal, which is also made by mission engineering. That one has 2 outputs instead of the standard 1.
2. I got the Polytune Mini from my local dealer (I live in Singapore... in South-East Asia). Preordered it so I managed to get one when it first arrived. |

Kester - have you used EP-2 or VP-Jr style expression pedals? way different throw length and feel? i know they say they made the Mission's throw longer than regular wahs, lol, and i HAD one for a hinute, but i forget. |

I use the BMC to boost the low-mids (@500Hz) in the ch2 loop only. It kinda emphasizes the heavy after all the dirt effects, especially the fuzzes. The Sub D is set to 600Hz rarely these days, and usually to emphasize some punch when going clean.
The GR2 and Xero can't be compared like green and red apples, at least not by me. I can say though that I'm learning simplicity is my friend. So, I kinda miss the Bottom Feeder. The GR2 is actually next to be changed. Right now the set up is:
(in) relay/mute > Schism > Submarine D > relay/mute > volume (out)
Schism loop 1: Timeline
Schism loop 2: B3K > TFR > GR2 > BMC
GR2 loop: Unpleasant Surprise > tafm
It's a work in progress, but I've figured out (somewhat) what effect sounds good before/after/during each other effect. More tests, always more tests... Quote:

I suppose I'd use my left foot in this setup... hmmm maybe I should move it to the right side, next to the other utility pedals... Quote:

Before I got the VP-Jr I also had a line6 expression pedal.
I was trying to get a "wah" sounding setting on the M9 with the Line6 Expression pedal but I couldn't because of the way the pedal felt (it felt rather plastic and had little resistance), but with the EP1 I have no problems. Definitely feels very different, but it could also be due to the spring installed in my expression pedals. |
