BDDI is the dry signal (only the Octaver hits it, is the low end of my signal)
VT Deluxe is the wet signal (All the FX hit it, is the mids/highs of my signal) I use the Whammy's two outs as the splitter: Wet goes to the FX/VT Deluxe, Dry goes to BDDI)
Both DI outs go into the board, the 1/4" outs go into a small line mixer into the FX return of the amp for monitoring puropses. Since starting to use this setup, I've gotten nothing but compliments on my tone.

Nice bi-amp setup. Smart idea.

I built the BB Preamp clone using the "Glitterrattii" PCB from MadBean Pedals. All the info on the project is in the linked project document. I then further modded it with the flexi clip project from DIY Fever. Which basically gives me a bazillion different clipping options. I can choose from 4 different types of diodes (Germanium, Silicon [stock], Rectifier, LED, and MOSFET), mix and match them, and use them to clip either side of the waveform in multiple different ways.

The one in the middle is randy's revenge, a ringmodultaor by fairfield circuitry.

I'd always meant to do somehting similar to that flexiclip project, but I thought it'd be worthwhile on the outside of the pedal as a rotary switch. Do you notice much of a difference other than in volume between settings?

Mostly just lurk, but TB has been a super resource. Really appreciate everybody's generosity of info and insight. Thought I'd share my finished (I mean it....) board.

How did we not go with a 36th Chamber of Shaolin reference? Do you not fear my Wu-Tang sword?

It's kind of hard to tell in a band setting. For the most part, there aren't a whole lot of differences, just really small ones.

Yeah, I'd found the same when I have a circuit on breadboard but always wondered if that hid some of the differences.

Thanks Mudd. Form and function...the extra height really increases the 'stompability' in tight spaces...like a riser.

Also it let's me work the freeze with my heal on the ground...without doing the Karate Kid dance.

It's perfect for the stuff I'm doing in my current gig, because I need the big lows that only the BDDI can give when clean, but then I can get some quasi-Justin Chancellor, Dug Pinnick, and Tim Commerford tones out of the VT so I can keep a big low-end, while filling in for the fact that there's only one guitarist in the band so I'm filling a lot of sonic territory. The sound man can mix the two for what sounds best in the house, and I can mix the two for what sounds best through the amp. It's a win-win.

Yes. A thousand times yes.

Tongue in cheek ODB-3 references would abound.

PYPB thread title I am disappoint.
