I will have mine up, fingers crossed, monday. I really thought my new fuzz would be here today but I guess not. Thats the trouble getting paid on a thursday.
Thursday: get paid, pay for gear.
Friday: Payment clears, seller ships.
Saturday: Maybe it will get here, probably not.
Sunday: Hungover, not worried.
Monday: NEW GEARS.

| | Registered User | | Join Date: Feb 2011 Location: New England | | My latest setup, now that it includes the GR2 and Octron; and all on a metal frame (PT-1). The space next to the TFR will be soon occupied by a midi-controller (DMC-3) for the Timeline. Nothing's completely hooked up yet, so don't mind the knob settings. I'm trying to decide what I want in the GR2's loop. Test, test, test...
Then I'm done, for now... or at the very least, with this setup, my bassssic needs/wants should be met. I've been working towards this for about two years, but I have to wait until Sunday to play with it... my hobbies are getting in the way of my interests.
No more using the homemade wood board, though it did work well. So for the last time... I give you my first ever effects pedal platform. It'll be holding up guitar effects soon.

woof. just had a bit of a revelation. have the PT-Pro all laid out and had to use Wrong Size cables to get everything plugged into everything. turn it on. just get a hum. nothing else. had to be at practice to try out somebody (that i seriously fell in love with after the first 10 minutes of jamming) in like 40 minutes, so i pulled the B3k, just the TAFM, Brain Freeze, Faye Sing, M5, Timeline and Rusty Box off and onto a PT-2. only used the B3k, TAFM, Brainy and Timeline and had a BLAST. drum, bass and singer that KILLED. so damn happy and FUN.
i'm....... taking the wrong tact with this huge expanse of space. REDO. |

It's been great watching the progression and I must say I've been eagerly awaiting the great unveiling. How are you finding the GR2 compared to the Xero? |

It does just about everything I could see myself using in a band context (I play "lead bass" in a 3-piece that I like to think has one foot in the 60s and one foot in the present, sonically) without sacrificing the ability to do some crazy fun shtuffs.
Oh and sorry about the lousy picture quality...I was having a bit of difficulty uploading and didn't feel like spending an hour sorting it out. All that matters is that you can make out the pedals though, right? I'll probably get my girlfriend to take some killer photos of my entire rig at some point to add some more sexiness. Maybe I'll actually plug in the board for an added lights show too!

But I could move the VP off-board and make room for an Expressionator and maybe a trem, and still have some space left.
WILL THIS EVER END?! | With the Expressionator, it won't completely cure your problem. You can mostly fix that crunch at the end with the 3rd Taper (anti-log) - however, the reverse, saw and squarewave tapers will still have that nasty habit of having everything come in at the very end of the taper. It's all because of the logarithmic (audio) pot... it's like a long valley with a steep cliff - whereas a linear pot (which is in the moog, roland, etc.) has a straight line from toe to heel.
