But, I have a gig this coming Sunday and I've been wanting to go minimal while I reconsider the whole split signal thing.
All the basics. An A/B selector so I can have both basses plugged in as once. The Fishman works great with acoustic and electric basses as a preamp, giving me EQ and even a small bit of compression action. My trusty tuner and lastly, an overdrive option, which has a balanced out. |

After careful thought, I believe I'll move the byoc filter to my guitar board. It just doesn't play well with my bass. I think I'll be replacing it soon with a Proton though, maybe combined with a Xerograph, still figuring...
I'm convinced I want a phaser (again) though, and will have to make room someplace on my board for one, probably a Compact Faye Sing as I'm liking expression pedal control more and more these days; so of course I have to figure out where an Expressionator will go... (sigh)

It's kinda iffy picking up low b if I'm using a pick, but if I'm using my fingers it works just fine. Polytune mode is useless with bass (unless you're tuned as a guitar). I never use it though and I think it's stupid anyways. My only gripe is that it switches back and forth between chromatic and polytune when it can't read a note properly (such as with low b). Other than that, it's a great little guy | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
