If you don't save the new volume amount, it will go back to the old volume

Nice boards. All tidy now.
Interested in your thoughts comparing the micro flanger to the full size flanger on bass. I already have the micro and have the 117 coming in the mail to takes it's place. Is the M117 overkill on bass? Is it worth the board space and extra power requirements?

Where is the volume knob set after being knocked out of position before switching to the preset?
I'm not quite sure what you're asking... You made adjustments and saved preset #2, which made it louder than preset #1? Or you made adjustments to preset #2 and didn't save when you clicked back to the first preset, so when you go back to #2 it's not as loud as you had it?

For the first case, the volume knob doesn't function as a master volume for all presets. You'll need to adjust the volume knob for each preset. Also, where you have the bass and treble knobs will have an affect on volume. If the second is the case, if you make adjustments to a preset, you always have to remember to save before going to another preset. Any movement of the knobs from original saved settings won't be saved until you double click the switch. If you click to another preset without saving, all settings will go back to what you previously saved regardless of knob position (<--- that took me a while to get used to).

Not sure if that answers your question or not... Feel free to PM me and I can try to help there, we probably shouldn't hijack the thread any further.

Yes, the signal chain isn't obvious from the layout.

Bass -> octamizer -> Agro -> pitchfactor -> wonderlove -> fea -> waterfalls -> brigadier -> tuner

Then it goes to looper depending on the gig.

the very latest

the empty spots are for delay/reverb and bass distortion; tbd.
bmc moved to the very end as a selectable eq boost.

in > schism > b3k > submarine designer > bmc > out
  • schism 1: bluebeard > tall font russian
  • schism 2: unpleasant surprise > bottom feeder > faye sing
probably going to wire up an effects switcher soon, that or buy one, to move things around inside the schism.
delay/reverb and distortion first though.
the empty spot above the schism is for a soon to be assembled amp mute/channel switch.

I did just the opposite...lol i swapped the M117 for the M152....the 18 volt was a pain in the ass...if you want to be able to pick your own sweet spot or if you love to have more control then by all means go with the M117...however my unit had some sort of weird artifact or noise that was audible with my bass and not on guitar...the micro flanger didn't have this quirk..so i switched them..much happier with the micro on bass...this may sound weird but the micro seems to be warmer than the full sized version to my ears

Thx, I believe that they show the OD setting, althought they might have moved a bit during travel (I use a soft case).

So my new PT-3 came in, so time to tear apart my gigging board and put together my two new boards.

The paper cutout is for my Strymon Mobius, that I'm still waiting for. Yes, it's going to go on both boards, I'm going to swap it back and forth. I'm not buying two. (Really, I'm not)

Also, why the **** does the PT-3 not come with enough Velcro to cover all the slats????!!! Now I have to order more velcro and wait for it.

My covers band board (this is final, will not change)

My tentative board for my original band. This may change. I'm mostly using the Mistress for Filter Matrix mode right now, but I might replace it with a ring mod.

That's really weird that they didn't include enough. All the Pedaltrains I've had (Pro, PT1, Mini) have had plenty.

I get Industrial Strength Velcro at Walmart, I think it was $19 the last time I bought it. There's a lot in the box and it only took me 10 minutes to drive there. And holy crap that stuff is strong. Sometimes I've really gotta work to get pedals off my board to move them around. I like this stuff better than the Pedaltrain velcro.

Yeah, I actually don't like the crazy industrial stuff or the 3M dual-lock. I like being able to move around my pedals, and that crap grabs so strongly, it's a pain in the butt. I've never had a pedal fall off a board because the velcro didn't hold.

Fair enough, for sure. I personally don't mind that this stuff is that strong. I'm totally OCD about my gear and that eliminates the worry for me. It's like pedals I suppose... everyone likes something different and that's A-OK.

The "Industrial" Velcro has much much better adhesive IME, I agree it grips a little too strongly but the regular Velcro often peels off the pedals when I move them around. Silly that the PT-3 didn't come with enough though.

Most recent incarnation.
Having to drop the Phase 90 due to power shortage... I don't use it much for bass anyway. Added two TC Helicon Voicetone pedals- the Mic Mechanic and the H1 harmony pedal.

I sing. Don't like it. need all the help I can get.

The latest, with the Particle. Spent all day with it and I think the Particle is a keeper. When I run out of space I might have to decide between the Mini and the Behemoth II but until then they both stay, love them both. I'm debating between a few different things to snazz the board up some more after Christmas. Giving the Mobius some serious thought, I'm not a huge modulation guy and it would be a do it all space saver. I didn't bond with the ModFactor I had briefly but I really think the Mobius will be a better box.

Hey cool- first fellow voicetone user I've seen on here. I have the voicetone double (original two-stomp version) and the voicetone create is on its way in the mail. Love their stuff. And the fact that you can use it to power a condenser mic from your pedalboard live.
How are you liking the harmony and mechanic?
