In all fairness I do have quite a few (11 plus an expression pedal) but that doesn't mean I have to use all of them or any of them for that matter. I maintained composure though and didn't get all butthurt over it. Someone that short-sighted doesn't seem like much fun to jam with anyways.

Ok, when I got my Source Audio pedals I thought I'd never use the midi jack. I was so wrong. Midi is very easy and with midi control built in you save a lot of $$ not having to buy a midi looper. So the original idea was to keep it simple and use a Tech 21 midi mouse that uses only 1 midi channel to control the SA pedals. They would both change presets together and if I wasn't stacking fx I would just have a clean preset paired up with a fx one. Quickly I realized this was too much hassle and I wanted direct access to pedal combo and juming back to a bypass/clean so I aquired a Behringer FCB1010. Normally I avoid that brand but I gotta tell you, this controller is amazing. It can control 5 midi devices and has 2 expression pedals plug 2 latching midi controlled relays to control stuff like the Freeze. At first it was a mystery to program, but once I "got it" it's actually very simple to program.
Back to the Freeze. My FCB1010 is a stock unit, but you can get new new chip to let you do 'stomp box' mode and turn individual fx on/off, but I'm actaully happy with patch mode where you change all the pedal, or just as many as you want per stomp. Originally I had a midi button for the relay remote controlling the Freeze. This is an easy mod where you put a 1/4" jack on the freeze and jumper the wires coming off the footswitch then just plug into 'switch 1' on FCB1010. This worked ok, but if I pressed on that midi switch it would take the focus off the patch I was using, so that meant that the expression pedal was disabled or something else and I didn't like that so I ended up taking the footswitch out of the freeze and mounting it on the FCB1010. This frees up a midi button and lets me use the Freeze at any time without disrupting any patch I have active.
The Freeze has been different placed in my chain. My favorite position for it was between the Classic Pro and the BEF Pro to hold a dirty signal and then still play a clean over that or vica-versa. But when our sound engineer set me up with 2 feeds to the board I wanted to Freeze to feed them both so I moved it up river to just out of the G50 and before the clean DI to the subs.
So the Sansamp, tuner and compressor are always on, and the 3 SA pedals and the M5 are all controlled with midi. So I can have 4 pedals instantly jump to presets all at once or just one, or two, etc. Then one simple button bypasses all fx.
The G50 wireless has a mute on the body back so the tuner is on all the time incase I get bumped and have to make a mid-song tuning correction, and when I need to tune between songs or whatever I mute from the body back.
All and all it's a pretty simple setup. The MWBD Pro is new and just adds another layer, but if I was short on space, it'd be the first to go.
edit: FYI, I noticed after taking that inside picture the patch cable coming out of the freeze into the DI #1 was not installed or the patch cable to the tuner. I was messing with something and needed the cables, they are back now ready to ROCK

Open doors to more song choices, but then I could see the other side and they think you could be out of control with it and maybe they had a bad experience with another bass player that over-fx'd? Or it's a guitar player that thinks bass should not have any fx at all. You hear about that all the time. |

Wade was a good talker, but he ripped off quiet a few of my friends
*(although, I think only one ended up with nothing but a broken pre. but that still majorly sucks to spend almost 500 bucks on a paperweight...)*.
You are better off looking for something else. And on that front, there is a Beta Bass pedal (wade made that Beta rackmount) made by a company called Correct Sound out of Russia. I have really been GASing for it. But if you know me, you know I'm broke.
My pedalboard as of now. Hope to get some new toys for X-mas, need envelope filter and phaser:
Gets the job done.

The Nano is my current band board, the PT Jr is for effin around at home for the moment. Can easily link the two boars together. Right now I'm missing the SA Modulator that I've been using with the band as I had to send it back for an update. I love that thing.
Just got the Iso-5, allows me to run the octaves at 12v and the Monarch at 18v. |

Just got the Xerograph (regular) in. I can do static dub bass and expression sweeps with this one and have the Deluxe controlled by playing dynamics. Fun. |
