Hey pedal guys. I've been offered a SS/BS Polygrace in a trade. Does anyone have any experience with these? Anyone have any idea of their approximate value? I know that he only made 20...

I think I've seen them in the $250-300 range. If it's for the Lodestone and a straight up trade get on it! The Lodestone is a Muff (isn't it?), the Polygrace is a Unicorn. Not sure if you'll dig it but you'll have fun finding out.

It was for offered for my Gristleizer, so the value is pretty even. I replaced the Lodestone with a BB.. I foresee me trying to cram a polygrace on my board, but it's rarity and potential for weird unique sounds is enticing..

This is like a "greatest hits" board for me...I've owned all of these pedals multiple times now, with the exception of the Gain Changer, and once again I'm back to my old favorites. I'm looking to get a better power solution in place now. I'm also hoping the Eventide H9 that emerged at NAMM will be as good as advertised; then I can swap it with the Space and save a little bit of room. Other than that, I'm loving this setup.

I traded down from a Timeline to the El Cap and don't regret it at all. I would also seriously recommend the Barber Gain Changer to bass players everywhere...it sounds fantastic on both guitar and bass, as does the Basic Audio Foxy Lady! Both have tremendous range in saturation and keep the low end very much intact.

Sorry for the poor lighting/picture quality. The signal chain is:

Barber Gain Changer > Basic Audio Foxy Lady > VP Jr. > TU-2 > El Capistan > Space

So some changes on my board since the last post: got rid of the BSY-600 (not stable and would rather add to my octave/fuzz/filter arsenal so I got a Madbean Lowrider (Pearl Octaver Clone).

It's amazing and the 8va is analog fuzz goodness....

Also the custom MSLP looper is AWESOME! It has a 1980's answering machine chip and with its filter control can get very lo-fi...

How are you powering that monstrosity?

Added the MetalDrive, bumped off the BOD. Big flanger has secured the spot in place of the micro flanger.

It has similar qualities but its really its own thing. It can't get as intensely modulated as the ZVEX but is more straightforward. It has 4 knobs: master volume, dry, playback and a filter (using this it can get very dirty to tape-like playback. The momentary detune switch is where the madness lies as it sounds EXACTLY using your finger on tape to slow it down. I'm planning on doing a video review soon time permitting.

The EHX H.O.G. has its own wall wart, the Roland RE-20 has its own (MUCH noisier when chained).

Every thing else is all a 1-spot (and I have no noise issues: practice, gigs or even recording direct like we did yesterday...

New Board/Setup

Just revamped the new board and just wanted to see what y'all thought. Here's the signal chain:

J bass --> Korg Pitch Black ---> sfx Thumpinator --> Diamond Bass Comp --> T1M Blender --> JHS Low Drive (in effects loop of blender) --> Retrospec Juicebox

It's all powered by a voodoo labs pp2+ and on a pedaltrain junior.

The extra room up top is going to be eventually filled with some more dirt. Possibly a Big Muff Pi or something.

- Mike

The Deluxe Bass Big Muff Pi would fill that space nicely ... love mine.

Sillyfabe I have always dug the case you use, long so that your feet don't need to travel as far. Of course the effects are great as well, but, I am curious though about the Boss RV-3. I had an RV-5 and got rid of it because it had a noticable volume jump when switched on, does the RV-3 do the same?

As you can see, this thread was the kick in the pants I needed to get serious about my board. Since I last posted a photo:

- Swapped out Boss FV-500L for Mission Engineering EP-1
- Upgraded Source Audio BEF to BEF Pro
- Added a Mission Expressionator to control Space and BEF Pro
- Moved a bunch of stuff around so it'd all fit
- Cleaned up all the wiring

Now what?

In regards to the case: I have size 14 feet and I've never had an issue, even with wild EBOW/fuzz/pitch-shifting/space echo rockouts!

In regards to the RV-3: I've used a RV-5 and did notice a volume jump as well. It sounds like its unity to me when engaged and the 100% wet sounds unity as well.

Well worth finding one!

Good to know, because I like that it is reverb and delay in one pedal. Thanks

Nice board!

@ image rotation...
If you're uploading your photos directly from your camera that may be it. Some cameras don't record orientation. Opening and then saving them in Photoshop or whatever may solve the issue. Just a guess... Otherwise, no clue.
