12.25" x 7.25" x 3/4" (1" with rubber feet).
the Plan: - Tuner will be added and all power will be regulated through that, minimizing wires a bit.
- Relay (mini) will be added so that the larger foot-switched tuner/mute relay shown here can be removed and replaced with said tuner.
- Rehoused amp footswitch will be added.
- Headphone amp will be added eventually ([sfx] mini type).
- JDI may be added, maybe.
- FEA compressor may be added, but then I would have to upgrade to a PT-Nano!
This is just an experiment to help me focus on my playing a bit. All my other effects are still on the PT-1, with the conspicuous empty space just large enough for an OKKO Basstard (hate the name) or an HE El Oso. Given my current effects budget, most likely the Oso...
Both boards can be linked with two cables, in/out, which is why I'm building another relay. If all else fails, I can move the expression pedal off the board and replace it with the Submarine and B3K and go back to one board.

ps my sub is part of the end mixer... homebrew |

Yeah, any effects project of mine will include the Submarine, its just so useful, and so good! Ok, maybe if I was recording thru an Avalon something or other, U5 maybe... then I can live without it, maybe. Its not the quietest circuit in the world, that's for sure, but it sounds good before an amp. Like, real good.
It's nice to have just one or two pedals that define 'my' sound in an easy to go format. I can plug the Submarine D into just about any amp and dial in a tone I like, and the B3K is grind in a box... and I love me some grind!

On the Mini (main board), I've been swapping back and forth between my B3K and Dark Driving on and off for a while, and now revisiting the SFT. For the PT1, Fromel DIG and Flipster came off, BlueTube on and............ struggling with what else I want to put on there.
Never really had that trouble before, my boards have always just kind of come together without any effort. I was revamping it yesterday and sat there staring at the stupid thing for like 2 hours and... nuthin'.

A completely clean sound from this two-pedal system. An [sfx]-modded Bad Monkey will be joining the board. |

The dual band compressor is pure awesome. Usually would have a battering ram for fuzz but the footswitch needs some work hence the photon will see some light till I fix the ram or finish a rat+supercollider project I am building.
I liked your 3 choice of fuzz you posted earlier. Have been wondering how the TFR fit in your sound. Now I get it

But it's nice, especially the wobble thing :-) |

Though I doubt YouTubes audio quality (plus the home recording quality) do much to convey that well.
To me its TOTALLY about bass... And expanding the role of the instrument. It's never going to appeal to everyone but then that's why I kept it to a thread about pedal boards.
Maybe this video/audio from my main band better shows the overall sound I am going for - to sound like a full band: http://youtu.be/hG940DEAazQ

AMT WH-1B, Darkglass B3K, MXR BFD, IE Nimbus, TCE Flashback, TCE Polytune Mini. Time to pick up a pedaltrain mini.
Edit: oy. Just threw my DL4 back on my board since I havent sold it yet and Im enjoying being able to use that as a looper and my flashback as the delay...the dl4 was supposed to fund the flashback =/

Not much of a change: sent the Digitech Bass Driver upstairs 'cause I like to have the pedals I stomp on during songs on the lower tier, pedals on all the time or for the whole song on the upper tier (yeah, I'm like dat). I keep looking and shopping, but still sticking to simple, run-of-the-mill unexotic pedals. But it works for me.
EDIT: the only pedal I'm not 100 % satisfied for the moment is the Q-Tron. It's cool enough, but I've just not found MY filter as of yet.

I was trying to get everything on a PT Mini, and I dont really see myself looping stuff live so the dl4 was more than I needed. but it is nice to be able to delay and loop at the same time for writing at home. might have to consider that. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
