Q-Tron Plus Serious Volume Drop
So I ordered a Q-Tron Plus (the newer model) online a few days ago and it came in the mail today. I went to plug it in, set it up with the free cables/power adapter it came with and all that. The bypass was working perfectly, I checked it by physically bypassing the pedal plugging strait into the amp and there was absolutely no change in the signal. The problem I have is when I turn on the pedal with a clean signal, there is no sound. I have to turn my 120 wat amp up all the way to get an audible sound. Its also very distorted sounding like this, and thats with the gain knob/red light indicator not even lighting up. it sounds a bit lounder when i play it on a distorted channel, but still nothing like it should sound.
I was messing with every knob trying to fix it but nothing worked. I even opened to box to take a look inside, but its all in a circuit board so theres nothing i can really see like a loose connection. Also i tried connecting a single cable to complete the fx loop and it was exactly the same. I want to use it at band practice tomorrow but theres no way i can use it in this condition.
What im using is a 70's dean explorer, running into a line 6 spider III 2x10 120 watt amp. also the power supply they EH have me is the right watts and the correct polarity. Both the lights work on the pedal too. There's also not a single thread pointing to a solution to my problem either, ive tried a few things and nothings working. I'm so confused and frustrated...
