A question about noise suppressors

I recently got a custom pedal done. It is a modded version of the roland jet phaser. Now I absolutely LOVE the pedal. When I throw in my overdrive with it, it sounds even more powerful(I'm jizzing just thinking about the sound lol).

The only problem is that I get a lot of unwanted noise due to the amount of gain the chain. I was wondering if I got a noise suppressor would it solve the issue(I don't see much about them on yizzer tube, for bass anyway). I also like to feed the bass back on occasion. Would this stop it from feeding back at my desire? Any help with this would be very appreciated. Only heard of noise gate and boss suppressor. So models would be handy also

Cheers
Ian

What's your pedal chain? How is it powered? What type of bass?

My ebs uni-chorus runs to the amp, the chorus runs to the boss distortion to the jet phaser then to my bass. It's an active dean edge. The jetphaser is powered by 2 9 volt batteries and the rest is powered by an ac adapter with a daisy chain.

My money is on this as the cause of the noise. You should troubleshoot the actual source by pulling things out of the chain and seeing if the noise goes away. If you find the culprit try putting it on it's own isolated power supply and see if that helps.

A noise gate would work but you also might be able to find a pedal that sounds as good or better than what you have with less noise.
