Rack mountable dirt?

There's the Aguilar AGRO, the RBI and RPM, what other rack mountable overdrive, distortion and fuzz are out there?

I use the Agro with a series of boosts on the front end (including a tone hammer). Gives great multi-staging to dirt. Sometimes I piggyback it with an old Lexicon GX2 which has some of its own distortion settings.

I got a Boss GL-100 that is good fun. Lots of EQ and clipping options. Not so good for live use unless you figure out a way to remote bypass as it is just a 2 channel deal. Cheap used if you can find them too.

Still, good sounds inside IMO.

That's pretty cool that proco made a rackmount version of the rat. I'll bet it sounds just as awesome as the rat itself. and I've noticed it has 2 channels. perhaps 1 channel is for rhythm and 1 channel is for lead. that sort of thing would be pretty useful for bass solos. I'll bet that proco rat fans would like to have a rack-mount like that.

Of course there is. I just bought two different Rats.

They don't show up on ebay.ca. They probably don't ship to Canada.

I may be totally mistaken, but I believe the initial inspiration for the Turbo Rat was the gain achieved with both Rats in series on the R2DU.

Rocktron gainiac 2

Since everyone here is talking about rackmounts, I was wondering has anyone here ever tried the rocktron gainiac 2 tube distortion rackmount on bass? I know there's the blue thunder, but I wonder has anyone tried the gainiac 2. I'll bet it sounds pretty cool on bass.

Most of the Boss / Roland / Line6 rack gear has dirt FX available.

Of course you can shelf mount pedals and remote swith them.

Kep in mind you STILL need foot pedals to remote switch rack gear. :what:
