Roland PK-5A Setup in Reason 4.0

Sign in to disble this ad
Hi there,

I haven't been able to use the Roland PK-5A MIDI bass pedals in Reason 4.0. There doesn't seem to be a signal input on the meter when I play the PK-5A, but the Axiom 61 Pro that I am running the PK-5A through does show and signal. Here's the chain:

Roland PK-5A MIDI OUT to Axiom 61 Pro MIDI IN; Axiom 61 Pro MIDI OUT to M-Audio Firewire 410 MIDI IN; Firewire 410 outputting to any external source.

So to reiterate, I'm running the PK-5A into the Axiom 61 Pro. I'm guessing there might be some kind of channel or port inconsistency, because the Axiom does show a signal, but the PK-5A does not. There's no reason as to why this shouldn't work - I just want to be able to play bass pedals to simultaneously accompany my keyboard playing. I am able to do this in both Native Instruments B4II, Arturia Minimoog V2, and Arturia Prophet V without any problem. Can someone help with the routing? I think this is an internal Reason thing.

If someone could help out, I'm in a super time crunch to have this up and running and would really appreciate the help.

Thanks!

M
