Question Roland PK5 and Alesis QS6

Sign in to disble this ad
I am a bassist looking to fill out sound for our 3 piece. I have a QS6 and was wondering if anyone has used PK5 pedals with one, and if so, how do you do it.

Thanks

I dont have a QS6 but, I use the Roland Pk-5 with various synths and they work great.
Here is my keyboard rig:

I also have a few rack mount modules that I use with the PK-5's as well:

Basically, I use the Midi Out on the PK-5 into the Midi In of any keyboard. The Bass/Poly buttons on the PK-5 can have different Midi channels. This is useful to run different modules or midi channels.

I just use the PK-5's into a Roland XV-5050 now with my present band. The Roland can be set up with splits and different Midi channels so I can play chords with my feet and play the Bass at the same time.
Or, have one set of sounds assigned to the Bass bank (Midi Ch.1) and another set of sounds with the Poly bank (Midi Ch.2)

Feel free to PM me with any questions. I have been using Bass Pedals since the 80's and I have had the PK-5's for over 8 years. Good Luck!

I have the Roland PK 5, which I have hooked up to a Roland Juno DI Keyboard. Although I have one touch chords and layered patches on my keyboard, I can't seem transpose that to the PK 5. Would you happen to know how I would be able to do that? Also, I have two other keyboards. Would there be a way to hook up another keyboard at the same time to the PK5. Your reply would be a tremendous help to a technotard like me. Thank you.
