Roland VB-99 V-Bass System

Sign in to disble this ad
Hi everyone,

I'm a talkbass newbie so this is my first post.

I'm interested in opinions about the Roland VB-99 V-bass system. I've seen the video demos and read some very favorable reviews, and it sounds really impressive.

My plan is to assemble I light weight touring rack for plane travel, and from what I've seen so far this looks like the ultimate solution.

The downside is that I may have to spend more than my car is worth to afford it

I don't know anything about it, but after watching the demo on Roland's site....I want one. I can't afford one, but I want one.

I played one at a trade show last years - very fun... I don't know how useful it would be, but darned fun. The problem, I've found, with most things like this is that they are *toys* - great fun to noodle with but not great to actually use.

I bought one for my cover band and ended up using it all the time.
